Liverpool ‘Stayers’ Hurdle (Grade 1)

The bookies will be running for cover if Thistlecrack goes in with a possibility of Douvan and Yorkhill both winning earlier in the day, out of the three I would be more worried about Douvan for the Multiples. So again a 2/7 shot and nothing being given away here and rightly so after Cheltenham for the on the course touts.

So where is the value coming from, I have reservations over ‘Shaneshill‘ even competing this afternoon, if he does it could takes it toll as I personally feel he had a hard race in the RSA when runner up to Blaklion who got tuned over yesterday. Nicky Henderson has some really nice stars coming through, and has been on the winning sheet every day this week and ‘Different Gravy‘ has become a good buy into Seven Barrows and after his Handicap win at Ascot when landing the Ambassadeur Casino Handicap by sixteen lengths he looks a good adversary, but he has to contend with a 11lb rise and a massive hike in class, but with out doubt a a star for next season.

One I do like in this is Gordon Elliott’s ‘PRINCE OF SCARS‘, a shame that Davy Russell is not here to ride, but a worthy booking of Bryan Cooper is not a bad alternative. He missed the Cheltenham festival and comes here fresh and ready, his win in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle when over turning Alpha Des Obeaux and an under par Arctic Fire who came back lame after the race, he has become a star since Bryan Cooper won on him at Clonmel, he is one that would not mind if the heavens opened and it turned into a slog, at a double figure price I give him a chance, jumps well, good cruising speed and knows how to win.

PRINCE OF SCARS : 1pt each way @ 20/1
