At 2/7 you would of thought they might as well give Yorkhill the 42k on offer to the winner into Willie Mullins account without running the race, but you still have to jump and get first past the post. Ruby has stepped down due to injury once more after a wrist fracture on his fall from Douvan, so this is a massive opportunity for Paul Townend to seal the trainers title for his boss Willie Mullins.
So I suppose this is race that might not be worth considering, but there is a nice runners up prize of just under 16k and this can go to ‘FLYING ANGEL‘. he looked to be travelling really well in the Martin Pipe to be just not getting on terms with the eventual winner Ibis Du Rheu, and with Sky Khan running a big race yesterday to finish fourth in the Alder Hey the form is holding its form. He has Aintree experience when third to Agrapart last season around the Novice ranks, this is the first time he steps back in to that company and and at 14/1 looks really good value to run another big race behind a natural star.
As for the rest of the field, Le Prezien for Paul Nicholl’s had to get serious at Kelso to run down The Dutchman in the closing stages, they meet off level weights once more, and The Dutchman could set a good clip here as he did at Kelso when looking all over the winner from the last that day.
FLYING ANGEL : 1pt each way @ 14/1
